God Had Already Shown Himself Totally To Me At First Touch – Sharing

When I prepared Singspiration on 20th June 2010, the very Sunday right after our Singapore-Malaysia Camp Retreat, I confirmed and saw that the Lord came to me in FULL already when I was in Primary 4. He revealed all of Himself totally to me already. We must MEET God in all our nakedness to see ALL OF HIM, enjoy God in FULL, and share the gospel in COMPLETENESS.

<Ex 33:12-23>
Moses said to the LORD, "You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people."
The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"
And the LORD said to Moses, "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name."
Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory."
And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."
Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."

1. Spirit of Sonship

I was brought to church by my parents. The cartoon "Smurfs" were what I loved, but my parents forced me to go Sunday School from young. I hated it when they did it. However, it seemed that I adapted very quickly. I came to church and somehow felt that the place was special. In fact, I was special. I was also brought to a camp themed "路标". God came to me told showed His glory, "You are special. You are chosen. You are called. You are the seed of Love." Why have I been so 迟钝late in discovering this? God had never left me and has showed me every of His glory. But I thought I hadn’t enough and kept searching for Him and for my true identity. I realized the Spirit came in FULL and showed His FULLNESS to me right at the start!

When I was at that camp, some people gave me special attention. One of the pastors in the camp tried to prove the existence of Jesus Christ. There is a voice in me as I told myself, "If Jesus Christ ever existed, I cannot even choose to disbelieve. If there is eternal life, I cannot choose to disbelieve." There is a special calling from heaven at that moment that brought me all contriteness, realization, thanks and hope. The Spirit has came upon me.

But yet, do we think that we need a special place, such as a church, to know that God came specially to us? No! The fact that you are born into the earth, fact that you have a unique set of family background, conditions, character, etc meant that the Spirit of Sonship has came upon you just even when you are born on earth. When you are born on the earth, you are a son (child or daughter). There is a Spirit of sonship already borne into you!

It is not difficult to preach the gospel in all circumstances. The truth is that the Lord is always with us, but no one has realized the Spirit Who came to them in FULL already! Everyone thinks that they have shortage and problems in their lives! We must not share the gospel in part, but it must be in full, for the Lord has shown us in full at first touch. He showed us in full so that ONE DAY 有一天, we will recall that God has came to us in FULL! That is the greatness of His love!

Oh Lord, may You use me to show them that You are already in those called to eternal life! There are many shouts and truths in the world, but there is Only One Anointed.

<Ps 2:1-6>
1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together
   against the LORD and against his Anointed One.
3 "Let us break their chains," they say,"and throw off their fetters."
4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 "I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill."

2. Spirit of Loving

When we see Christians evangelizing, every other people find them strange. There is a Spirit of loving God and loving men. Some of them are frustratingly a disturbance, but there is a Spirit of the gospel (euangelion) that is so good that it would not make any sense if you just keep it bottled up into your own self. God loves us through the Spirit of Sonship, and He is manifested in people who care and give concerns to us. There is a voice spoken in the desert, "Go and Love, for you have been loved so that your name is a bundle of Love"!

When you anxiously lost your cool while testifying the gospel, can that not be the Spirit at our level of faith, to show us that we love the lost souls, so that the Spirit in us are anxious for them? The only thing to confirm is whether we are concerned about their soul and eternity, not about partly giving material success or temporary comfort in their lives.

<Is 61:1-3>
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
   because the LORD has anointed me
   to preach good news to the poor.
   He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
   to proclaim freedom for the captives
   and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
   and the day of vengeance of our God,
   to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
   instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.

3. Spirit of Wisdom

I remembered that though the message on the pulpit was proving creation versus evolution, proving the existence of the Man Jesus Christ Who had ever lived before, and proved that Jesus Christ had really been resurrected, etc. There is earthly wisdom. I remembered that when I was young and I read the bible, I was so awed that the Son of Man was so wise to answer the Pharisees about tax-collecting and giving to God — I wondered if I were able to learn that. There must be a system so that there is such a wisdom that is so complete and piercingly to the point.

If you know the Spirit of Wisdom (Source of all wisdom), you will not go with the wrong way. There are all kinds of religions and philosophy in the world. When some people do a certain good deed, they do it to attain happiness. It is a kind of wisdom. Yet, if they do not know the Spirit of God in Wisdom, they will go into the deceptions of Satan by believing into a certain belief that does not come from heaven, immediately being lured into bondage with accepting certain guidelines, giving boundaries onto themselves, etc. They take into a deep "quicksand" problem of mysticism, legalism and humanism (only success), and all their lives go into a mess.

The Spirit of Wisdom came from above. It came upon me actually in FULL already and shown very clearly when I was at the camp. Before the camp, the TV dramas about Nezha and Sun Wukong already told me that there is life after death, and I had to be certain if science (seeing is believing, and we can refute anything that cannot be seen). That image 影响 came into me and WISDOM kept calling to me. That Wisdom is God Himself.

<Pro 1:20-23, 29, 33>
20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares;
21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:
22 "How long will you simple ones love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?
23 If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.

29 Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD,

33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."

4. Spirit of Victory

When I went to church at a young age, I lost to my parents forcing me to go to Sunday School. I was slowly brought to the Student Fellowship at Sion Presbyterian Church. I remembered that the students there did not all study well. In fact, I was so smart then in my Maths and Science that I looked down on all of them, and even my school teachers. I had nothing, so I boasted of all of those. After the camp, I decided to study the bible, and intended to read the bible on my own. I heard from people that the Bible is deep and profound, so I gave myself a challenge to read through it. I never expected that when I read through the pages of the bible, I found that I had to surrender to the Word of the Bible. They were indeed above my imagination. I thought again that it may be language or literature, but when I read again and again, I could not grasp the meaning or flow at all. It is so sure and had a lot of "therefore"s. It repeats many times in the Old Testament, but it seemed that the author had something deeper to proclaim. There is a Spirit guiding the people writing the Bible. If I do not know the Spirit of God, I cannot and would not know how to read the Bible. Such is a light from the bible so that I finally told God that I lost and He won.

God actually came to me and won over me in all my age. The things I liked from young were science, astronomy, bicycling, taking special interests in things most people would not think or do, wanting to be special, etc. Yet, when He came to me in the camp, I gave a huge sigh and told God that I give up holding on to what I think is the best thing in the world. The Lord triumphed over me because I found that I saw that "life" was much more important and living. Though "relationships" can be difficult and complex, that gave much life. Though quick things sound desirable, the one who can stand the test of "time" and patience wins over everyone. I begin to surrender myself to God. Yet, what I do not know is that the Spirit of God came to me and resurrected me in His eternal life and kingdom.

Do you know what I mean? God the Victory has always been with us and in us. Losing and winning are the same thing if we realized that God’s Name is Victory. The Lord never regrets for the seemingly bad things He did. The Lord never cries over the tears He has shed for me. The Lord loves the people who are weaker, for the weaker will run to God and cling on to His love more unwaveringly. Through problems that seem like a scare, we are ordained with testimonies that overcome all kinds of angels.

<Ps 8:1-6>
1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:

5. Spirit of Virtues

There is the Spirit of Virtues: love, peace, joy, endurance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. I had thought that these were just bridges shown by God, manifested into men, so that I can meet God at the camp. My scheming mind of a brat thought that Christians love, and non-christians showed me smiles because they might have an ulterior motive. Yet God is meeting me right now. Look! Listen! Don’t wonder about! If you miss that smile, you missed that one moment in that day (it may be 24 June 2010 at 7:30pm) that is not going to happen again, because that is not people smiling to you, but that God is smiling at you through people all around you, so as to touch your Spirit and become an irrevocable grace that stamps and seals on your spirit. Meet God there, and find your spirit lifted up.

<Pr 2:1-5>
1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,
2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding,
3 and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

<Php 4:4-9>
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

6. Spirit of a Shepherd

A preacher, having internship at my previous church as a watchman yet a Student Fellowship teacher, gave me a bible. He never knew, but I was so touched. I treated that bible as my dearest treasure full of teachings of jewels that will transform my life around. Today, that bible is separated into a few parts, covers torn out, with quite a few highlighting. That was my first bible. The preacher always smiles and listens to me hard. Even though I tried to show that I was not as good a young boy, by trying to shout and boast since my studies and age is greater than other students around, so that I can perhaps also test their patience, the preacher still smiles at me. Even though I showed my temper, he still endures and took everything in. There was a brother who had gone missing. He answered all my queries about belief in Christ and I felt very comfortable with him. Today, I had no news of him and may have been wandering around churches. There was yet another brother who also cared for my well-being and spiritual growth. Today, he has become a missionary. These showed that it were not the vindication in the qualities in people whom I met, but that the Lord appeared and incarnated through them to meet me in full.

Now then I realize that the Spirit of Shepherd came into my life then already! This image 影响 is so important. God has been FULL in revealing to me. There is an urge in my heart not to give a partial gospel to people. I must get equipped to learn the full gospel, the cross message, and remember all of the 36 lessons and the bible overview. I must become not only alive, but I must become systematically alive, then I can deliver a gospel message that is IN FULL to people, because the Lord has never shown me Himself partially at all before! I must not give the gospel in part — May God make sure of this in my heart!!

<Ps 23>
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

7. Spirit of Submission

From young at home, in society, and especially in church, I was expected to follow everything. In fact, the image given by the church through the 10 commandments and the cross is that God expected EVERYTHING from my life. I can fight, debate, complain, but in the end, what the truth is, is still the truth.

It is like a line on a piece of paper. On one side, if you bind this TRUTH up, it becomes legalism, ritualistic, darkly superstitious and so, having the spirit of pride = Satan (this is so dangerous). Yet on the other side, if you do not bind the TRUTH up, you see that God wants ALL OF YOUR LIFE because the Model of Christ on the cross shows that He submitted to God with ALL HIS LIFE. If you do not bind this truth up and eat it up, like how Christ tells us to eat His flesh and drink His blood, you will find that you immediately have transcending peace. If you are no longer afraid of death, what is there to fear? From that moment on, you discover that all of you have belongs to God. And if God says that everything about God is the Spirit of Sonship, Spirit of Freedom, and the Spirit of Holiness, you know that your life is in not only the right path, but it is going to be peace like a river, love like an ocean, joy like living springs of a fountain! You can accept that you are not perfect, but you can preach and share the perfect message, because you find peace to share it, to even yourself so that you can be reformed through it. This is why the Lord tells us to submit to Him first.

<Ps 16:1-11>
1 Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."
3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.
4 The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.
5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

<Ps 37:4> Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

<Ps 19:7-8, 12-14>
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

12 Who can discern his errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.


<Ro 11:33-36>
33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
34 "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?"
35 "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?"
36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Do you know what I mean? God’s Spirit has never left us. In fact, when He first met us, it was love at first sight for Him. Yet, we lived in darkness and problems because we never know Him Who met us fully at first. Therefore, He tries a lot of ways (discipline, giving the unexpected, all the conditions in our life) to tell us that the Spirit is not far away so that we must find Him. He is so near that is already in our hearts. I am sure that you will be able to find Him if you find Him from How He has already revealed to you in the bible (7 Spirits of Christ). Remember: He heals, but seek for the Healer. He cares, but seek for the Shepherd. He gives, but seek for the Provider. He loves, but seek for the Love. Then you will rise up as an image of God yourself. Not everyone can go through this last one, but Paul did it — God showed Him "how much he must suffer for His kingdom" when God showed Him in full in <Acts 9>. It is not about suffering. It is not about rising above everyone. But the highest heights of Emmanuel is loving a travelmate (because he is found to be the weakest) and willing to die and sacrifice for him.

<Ro 5:7-8> Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

A colleague Wcai told me that he went to church and found people very friendly. I read that God met him fully then already through the friendly spirit. He also went both times to a Christmas celebration, seeing Christ in a baby form. However, he only saw people, and he never saw the Lord. Is God a friend? Yes, but He is not a friend, but He is your Friend. He saw Christ as a baby, and knew the story was that He came from heaven, but did he know that God must come from heaven to tell us the Way, the Truth and the Life? From there that you see these, you will have lots of words to explain the gospel to people… If you see, God will also open the chance for sharing (the Lord made rain only during lunch time so that we cannot go back to office, and the Lord made it so that other colleagues could not join in the lunch).

  2. This is a great post abt meeting God in full. Really hope that pple who read this post can read it deep in their spirit and confirm it in their own lives. There are so many believers out there who seem to have met God, yet didn’t.
