<2Ti 4:7-8> I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
I think anyone who is over the 33.5 years of age and who felt useless may be experiencing a phenomenon called the midlife crisis. Why 33.5? Jesus Christ started His ministry at 30 years old and ended His completed life at 33.5 years of age. You know, ever since I stepped into the age of 30, I knew there could be a great hope ahead and I got to be more vigilant than ever. After slipping past the age of 34, there were many moments where I question myself the reason to continue living. Many vie for passive income as a form of insurance, whether in terms of business, stocks or a talent where people will not stop hungering for.
I could understand many of us at around this age, just because I am at this age with some forms of success and some forms of regrets. It is easy to lose passion at this age. The heart becomes less excited, and wrinkles / hair loss begins to appear. There are many things to take responsibilities of, yet you also have to appear right for faithfulness and care to many around you. The mind keeps thinking what may be wrong, and there is a cloud of blaming others and self for it. Moreover, in this era, the unseen dark forces that rise up keep on overwhelming, terrorizing, accusing and deceiving, so that the hearts of men faints and shrivels, in fact in accelerating measures as we come nearer to the end times.
So what is it to us, and those who face the midlife crisis? Do we have an answer? Actually God is with us even more. God not only unconditionally seeks us, but like a Father, He seeks us even more when we are weaker. That is the way out <1Co 10:13>. The Lord works not when we have everything, but He works unconditionally according to His promise when we have a small but correct faith in Him even if we still have some motives unresolved. Have you found your gospel which is not made up by man <Galatians 1:11-24>?
