… Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. <Jn 7:37-38>

The following came to me when I prepare for prayers on 2012-04-09 to lead the congregation to prayers. As I begin to reflect and evaluate on how much Holy Spirit’s convictions I can find in my life till now, I realize there are three gaps, but which always impress me to continue to be more like Christ and to equip the Holy Spirit.

1) There is always an authority in Jesus Christ when He speaks

“No one ever spoke the way this man does,” the guards replied. <Jn 7:46>

It is not about His words, but it is about His perspective that is set apart and discerned to cut the hearts of men. This is the Spirit of born again. This is where you are able to discern the very way and place the Lord descends on your heart. It is about God-driven and not man-driven. It is the gospel and not religion. It is grace and truth. It is unconditional yet God Who chooses stubbornly. It is not about an external power yet the overcoming power when Christ is exalted. It is not about surrendering to lust or cravings but submission to the Holy Spirit. This is the belief system. This is the theology of the New Testament.

2) Answers that heal

When a shepherd gives an answer, he is more anointed when he has more life experiences than when he has less. Whether be it spiritual questions, questions of the heart being weak, of the uncontrollable mental depression and insinuations, difficulties of diseases and illness, unorganized lifestyle that is unsure of where to start tidying up, of complex interpersonal relationships in different levels and angles of receiving hints, deep unforgiving hurts between spouses, having a control carving and educating children, tough decisions between spending and saving financially, and of having fruits in serving the Lord – there is always an answer, a perfect will and a wisdom that will lead to men being convinced at that point in time. Do people around you love you more and more? Do they find a man of integrity, a life of testimonies? This is the 10 healing messages. These are the answers that can be found through relying on the Holy Spirit in 1) daily, discovering and adding more wisdom through walking with God. This is the lifestyle system. This is the spirit of the teachings in the Old Testament.

… “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” <Jn 8:11>

3) Nothing can be learnt more than when in a church praises God together with their differences

Nothing can be learnt more where there is one same goal, vision, and heart, AND different timetable, healing and graveness of problems, yet, there is continual loving and learning of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit, loving one another, the more mature serving the weaker, the weaker giving thanks for pastors, and having unity in love and praise to God. When the congregation sings together, they rely on one another’s voice to climb Jacob’s ladder, where angels go up and down from the heavenly realms. When the Spirit of God moves about the congregation, healing swiftly takes place in their life and gospelization work happens in parallel in their 7 fields. This is the vessel of faith, expressing itself in the heart that always quickens to look in hope eternal light, through love, i.e. faith expressing hope in love. This is <Acts 2:41-47>, the unity of the Old Testament and the New Testament in the universal church.

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
